Steamboat Resort Starts Phased Closing Today

Steamboat Resort begins its phased closing today after an unseasonably warm winter with below-average snowfall. The Colorado ski area sets an early end to the season on April 12, a week ahead of last year. It plans a big send-off with the Cardboard Classic on April 11, featuring homemade sled races, followed by a free concert from Duane Betts & The Palmetto Motel.
