Exactly 27 years ago today, Jason Nevins' remix of Run-DMC's "It's Like That" storms to No. 1 on the UK charts, halting the Spice Girls' incredible run of six consecutive chart-toppers that began with "Wannabe" in 1996. Spice Girls' "Stop," from their Spiceworld album, sells over 115,000 copies in its first week but lands at No. 2 behind the remix's massive 242,796 sales.
